For example, the live-action X-Men films:

X-Men - no direct adaptations. General adaptation of the X-Men world
and its characters, no specific story or events (although Logan's
sacrifice to save Rogue is taken directly from a comic)

X2: X-Men United - God Loves, Man Kills, with elements of The Phoenix
Saga and Wolverine: Weapon X

X-Men: The Last Stand - Dark Phoenix Saga and Gifted

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Wolverine: Weapon X, Wolverine: Origin, and
Team X (unsure of the name of the run)

X-Men: First Class - No specific story adapted, a general adaptation
of the history between Xavier and Magneto. Was not based off the comic
run of the same name

The Wolverine - Wolverine #'s 1-4 Japan story.

Also, the live-action Batman films:

Raimi's Spiderman films also borrowed a lot from various Spiderman
storylines.

'Spiderman', in addition to the origin story, borrowed plot elements
from several Spiderman stories of the 60's and 70's, most notably
Amazing Spiderman # 39-40 (Green Goblin kidnaps Spidey and they
discover each others identities) and Amazing Spiderman # 121-122 (the
death of Gwen Stacy and the death of the Green Goblin).

'Spiderman 2' borrowed a panel from the classic Amazing Spiderman # 50
('Spiderman No More') as well as from the famous "If this be my
Destiny" story in which Spiderman survives impossible odds to rescue
someone from Doc Ock's secret base (Aunt May in the comics, MJ in the
film).

'Spiderman 3' loosely adapted the whole 'Alien Costume' saga and
Venom's origin (though this rendition was largely based on the 90's
cartoon's treatment of these storylines), as well as the 70's stories
about Harry Osborn's transformation into the second Green Goblin, and
the story which featured Harry's death, published in 1993.

The Iron Man films too are quiet faithful to specific comic stories.
'Iron Man' borrowed the updated origin from the 'Extemis' story arc
and the original Iron Monger story from the 80's, while 'Iron Man 2'
borrowed a bit from the 'Demon in a Bottle' story.

X-Men - The X-Men fight the brotherhood of evil mutants for the first
time in a train station in the Lee/Kirby run, just as in the film,
don't know the number of the issue though.

X-Men Origins Wolverine - Sabretooth attacking Silverfox and Wolverine
going to confront him in a bar afterwards is taken directly from
Wolverine's first ongoing solo series, issue 10.

there are quite a few in Daredevil...

DD confronting Kingpin in his office is pretty much done like in Born
Again, although the outcome is different. Daredevil no.228

Matt getting a message from his girlfriend on his answering machine,
telling him he's dumped, is also from Born Again. Daredevil no.227

Elektra being killed by Bullseye is pretty much a panel by panel lift
from the Frank Miller comic, don't know the number.

DD completely clearing out Josie's bar in a bar brawl happens in the
first part of 'The Kingpin Must Die', the 1st Miller story where DD
meets the Kingpin, can't recall the issue number offhand.

Matt waking up in hospital with the bandages over his eyes, adjusting
to the blindness with his dad talking to him, well, they pretty much
lifted that straight from the mini-series by Frank Miller and John
Romita Jnr.

Also, the image of Matt's mother, the nun, kissing his head while he
is asleep in hospital, is also taken from this mini-series.

Same with his dad throwing the fight and being killed by gangsters.

and Matt being beaten up by school bullies is also from this story.

All of these moments take plac in issue 1 of the mini-series.

I don't know if or how they did these aspects in the first issues of
DD back in the 60s, but you can tell they adapted from the updated
version in this mini-series for the film.

DD thinking a guilty man is telling thr truth in court, because his
heart never skipped, but then realising he was lying because he has a
pacemaker, was taken from the Frank Miller two part story with the
Punisher.

edit: I had a look for my DD comics to give you the issue numbers I
did not list, but I can't find them at the moment. I don't own the
comic where Elektra is killed, but it shows you the panels on the dvd
doc.

FF #1 - Not even &^%$#^ close to anything ever done in the comics

FF #2 - VERY roughly based on FF# 48-50 with some of FF #57, 58 (Doom
steals Surfer's power).
